Who Is The Ocean Agency?
The Ocean Agency is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization better known as “The Advertising Agency for the Ocean.” Through a variety of unique creative approaches, powerful relationships, and innovative technology, The Ocean Agency consistently generates generous amounts of media exposure to draw attention to the critical nature of ocean science and conservation.
Some of their projects include:
Developing a unique underwater 360° camera using funds contributed by founding sponsor XL Catlin in order to give the world the opportunity to explore the ocean via Google Street View.
Providing Google with 360° imagery to create a collection of educational, map-based stories that are freely available to students and education service providers for integration with a curriculum-based learning program.
Collating the Coral Reel Image Bank, a collection of free-to-use (for noncommercial use), media-quality photos and videos that also includes thousands of submissions from award-winning photographers for the purpose of raising awareness and supporting the mission to save coral reefs.
Creating an award-winning Netflix Original Documentary Chasing Coral that reveals the threats to the world’s coral reefs due to climate change.
