Miles “Smiles” Taylor is a powerlifting athlete who happens to have cerebral palsy, a disorder that affects movement and muscle tone. Miles trains at NEVERsate Gym in Westminster, MD with his friend since grade school Nicolai Myers and the gym’s owner Brian Alsruhe.

Miles is on a mission to let those with disabilities know that your disability doesn’t define you. Miles sees cerebral palsy as his motivation, and he found lifting as a way to improve his balance and grow in confidence.
He even got to show off his powerlifting skills in front of Arnold Schwarzenegger when he deadlifted twice his weight at the 2019 Arnold Classic.
